Mexican photographer Alejandro Cartagena, born in the Dominican Republic in 1977, explores the impact of suburban sprawl on the population growth and environment in Monterrey, Mexico.
Cartagena's acclaimed work, including Carpoolers (2014), is held in several prestigious collections and he was shortlisted for the 2021 Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation Prize.
